Description

Deliciously crispy jicama fries made in the air fryer for a healthier alternative to traditional fries.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large jicama
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons keto-friendly honey
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 425°F.
  2. Cut off both ends of the jicama and peel the skin. Slice the jicama into fry shapes and rinse them in cold water.
  3. Pat the jicama fries dry using paper towels, then place them in a large bowl. Add avocado oil, baking powder, Italian seasoning, and kosher salt. Toss until the fries are evenly coated.
  4. Arrange the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 20 minutes at 425°F.
  5. After 20 minutes, shake the basket to flip the fries and cook for an additional 20 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy.
  6. Just before serving, drizzle the fries with keto-friendly honey and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Serve with your favorite keto-friendly dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding garlic powder or smoked paprika to the seasoning mix.
  • If you prefer a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or chili powder to the seasoning before tossing the fries.
