Deliciously crispy jicama fries made in the air fryer for a healthier alternative to traditional fries.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 large jicama
- 2 tablespoons avocado oil
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 2 tablespoons keto-friendly honey
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 425°F.
- Cut off both ends of the jicama and peel the skin. Slice the jicama into fry shapes and rinse them in cold water.
- Pat the jicama fries dry using paper towels, then place them in a large bowl. Add avocado oil, baking powder, Italian seasoning, and kosher salt. Toss until the fries are evenly coated.
- Arrange the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 20 minutes at 425°F.
- After 20 minutes, shake the basket to flip the fries and cook for an additional 20 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Just before serving, drizzle the fries with keto-friendly honey and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Serve with your favorite keto-friendly dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding garlic powder or smoked paprika to the seasoning mix.
- If you prefer a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or chili powder to the seasoning before tossing the fries.
