- 4 slices thick-cut bacon, diced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- ½ cup cream cheese
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp dried dill
- ½ tsp dried chives
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Fresh dill, chopped (for garnish)
- Green onion, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and spray a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray.
- Pound the chicken breasts to about ¼-½ inch thickness, wrapping them in cling film to avoid splatter.
- Season the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper, rubbing the spices into the meat.
- Heat a large frying pan over medium-high heat and cook the diced bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon from the pan, leaving the fat behind, and set it aside.
- Add 1 tbsp of butter to the frying pan with the bacon fat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until browned.
- Flip the chicken breasts, add the remaining 1 tbsp of butter, and cook for another 2-3 minutes until browned.
- Remove the chicken from the frying pan and place it in the prepared baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix together the cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, and dried chives.
- Spread about 2 tbsp of the cream cheese mixture evenly over each chicken breast.
- Top each chicken breast with half of the cooked bacon, then sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-17 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the cheese is slightly browned.
- Garnish with the remaining bacon, fresh dill, and chopped green onion. Optionally, add more black pepper and salt to taste.

- For added flavor, consider marinating the chicken in the spices for a few hours before cooking.
- Substitute the cheddar cheese with your favorite cheese, such as mozzarella or pepper jack, for a different taste.
