Description

Delicious bite-sized Beef Wellington Bites, perfect for appetizers or a party snack.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef tenderloin
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the beef tenderloin with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the beef on all sides until browned.
  4. Remove the beef and let it cool, then brush with Dijon mustard.
  5. Add chopped mushrooms to the same skillet and cook until all moisture has evaporated.
  6. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into squares.
  7. Place a piece of beef and mushroom mixture on each square, then fold the pastry and seal.
  8. Brush each pastry with beaten egg.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm.
