Description
A unique twist on a classic dish, these Black Garlic Deviled Eggs are creamy, flavorful, and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon black garlic paste (or 2–3 cloves of black garlic, mashed)
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Paprika for garnish
- Chopped chives for garnish
Instructions
- Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover them with cold water. Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, cover the pan, remove it from heat, and let it sit for 12 minutes.
- After 12 minutes, transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water and let them cool for at least 5 minutes.
- Once cooled, gently tap the eggs on a hard surface to crack the shell, then peel them under running water for easier removal.
- Slice each egg in half lengthwise and carefully remove the yolks, placing them in a mixing bowl.
- Add the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, black garlic paste, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper to the yolks. Mash everything together until smooth and creamy.
- Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.
- Sprinkle with paprika and garnish with chopped chives before serving.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add a few dashes of hot sauce to the yolk mixture.
- Substitute the black garlic with regular garlic for a different flavor profile, or try adding a teaspoon of smoked paprika for a smoky twist.
