Description

A delicious and aromatic Brazilian fish stew made with fresh ingredients and served with rice.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 can coconut milk
  • 1 pound white fish, cut into chunks
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 bunch cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lime, juiced


Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent.
  3. Stir in the garlic, paprika, and cayenne pepper, cooking for an additional minute.
  4. Add the diced tomatoes and coconut milk, bringing the mixture to a boil.
  5. Add the fish and bell peppers to the pot, reducing the heat to simmer.
  6. Cover and cook for about 15 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through.
  7. Stir in the cilantro and lime juice before serving.
