- 2 pounds picanha cut of beef
- 2 tablespoons coarse sea salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 cup farofa (toasted cassava flour)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 banana, sliced (for serving)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to high heat.
- Season the picanha generously with sea salt and black pepper.
- Place the picanha on the grill, fat side down, and cook for approximately 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- While the meat is cooking, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add garlic, onion, and bell pepper, sautéing until softened.
- Add farofa to the skillet and stir until well combined and toasted.
- Remove the picanha from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve picanha slices with farofa, garnished with sliced banana and fresh parsley.
Notes
- Farofa can be customized by adding bacon or herbs for extra flavor.
- Make sure to let the meat rest to keep it juicy.
