Description

A delicious seafood dish featuring shrimp poached in brown butter and served with a luxurious saffron cream sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon saffron threads
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it begins to brown.
  2. Add the garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Remove from heat and add the saffron threads, allowing them to infuse the butter.
  4. In another saucepan, heat the heavy cream and lemon juice together, then stir in the saffron butter.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Poach the shrimp in the saffron cream sauce until they are pink and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Ensure the butter does not burn; watch closely as it browns.
  • For a richer flavor, you can add additional herbs like thyme or rosemary.
