A delicious and fruity dessert made with fresh cherries and topped with a buttery almond crisp.

- 4 cups fresh cherries, pitted
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ½ cup sliced almonds
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix cherries, lemon juice, and ¾ cup sugar until well combined.
- Transfer the cherry mixture to a baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, sliced almonds, and cinnamon.
- Spread the oat mixture evenly over the cherries.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Serve with vanilla ice cream for an extra treat!
- Use frozen cherries if fresh are not available.
