  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced (cremini or button work well)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  2. Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and sauté for about 5 minutes until browned. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  3. Pour in heavy cream, add thyme and garlic powder, and stir. Let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes to thicken.
  4. Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it with the sauce. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the chicken and garnish with parsley before serving.
