Description

Crispy Jalapeño Popper Bites are a delicious and irresistible appetizer that combines the heat of jalapeños with a creamy cheese filling and a crispy coating.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 12 jalapeño peppers, halved and seeded
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine almond flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  3. In another bowl, beat the egg. Add the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, and crumbled bacon. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  4. Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half, filling generously.
  5. Dip each stuffed jalapeño into the egg mixture, then roll in the almond flour mixture to coat. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top of each jalapeño popper.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the jalapeños are tender and the coating is golden brown and crispy.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, try mixing in some diced green onions or a splash of hot sauce into the cheese filling.
  • You can also substitute the bacon with cooked sausage for a different taste.
