Description

Crispy Keto Avocado Fries: A Delicious Guilt-Free Treat

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe avocados, halved and pitted
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Oil for frying (such as avocado oil or coconut oil)

Instructions

  1. Cut each avocado half into wedges, about 4-6 wedges per half.
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine almond flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and water until well combined.
  4. Place the grated Parmesan cheese in a third shallow bowl.
  5. Dip each avocado wedge first into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off.
  6. Next, coat the avocado in the almond flour mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  7. Finally, dip the coated avocado into the Parmesan cheese, ensuring it is fully covered.
  8. Heat about 1 inch of oil in a large skillet over medium heat until hot.
  9. Carefully add the avocado wedges in batches, frying for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
  10. Remove the fries from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  11. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or a spicy mayo.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add cayenne pepper to the almond flour mixture.
  • For a baked option, preheat the oven to 400°F, place the coated avocado fries on a parchment-lined baking sheet, and bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
