- 12 ounces mozzarella cheese, cut into sticks
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix almond flour, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs.
- Dip mozzarella sticks in the egg mixture, then coat with the flour mixture.
- Place the coated sticks in the freezer for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Fry the frozen mozzarella sticks until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with marinara sauce.
Notes
- For extra crunch, double dip the mozzarella sticks in the egg and flour mixture.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
