Description

A flavorful dish combining crispy pork belly with sesame, ginger, and bok choy, enhanced by a spicy chili oil.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds pork belly
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 inch fresh ginger, grated
  • 4 cups bok choy, chopped
  • 1/4 cup chili oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • Salt to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Score the skin of the pork belly and rub with salt and sesame oil.
  3. Place pork belly in the oven and roast for 1 hour until crispy.
  4. In a pan, heat chili oil and sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.
  5. Add bok choy and soy sauce, cooking until wilted.
  6. Drizzle rice vinegar over the bok choy.
  7. Slice the pork belly and serve over the bok choy.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, broil the pork belly for a few minutes at the end.
  • Adjust the amount of chili oil based on your spice preference.
