- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan before cutting into bars.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of sea salt on top before baking.
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
