Description

A delicious and unique twist on wraps featuring seasoned ground beef and fluffy egg clouds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 teaspoons Chinese five-spice powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • Green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Stir in the five-spice powder, garlic powder, onion powder, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until well combined. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and water until frothy.
  4. In a separate non-stick skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-low heat. Pour in the egg mixture and gently swirl to coat the bottom of the skillet.
  5. Cook the eggs for about 3-4 minutes until the edges begin to set. Using a spatula, gently lift the edges and allow any uncooked egg to flow underneath.
  6. Once the eggs are mostly set but still slightly runny on top, add the chopped spinach and shredded carrots evenly over the eggs.
  7. Spoon the beef mixture onto one half of the egg cloud. Carefully fold the other half over the filling to create a wrap. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the eggs are fully cooked through.
  8. Slide the wrap onto a plate and garnish with sliced green onions. Cut in half and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of sriracha or chili paste to the beef mixture.
  • You can also substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
  • Enjoy with a side of fresh fruit for a balanced meal!
