Description
A delicious and unique twist on wraps featuring seasoned ground beef and fluffy egg clouds.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 teaspoons Chinese five-spice powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- Green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in the five-spice powder, garlic powder, onion powder, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until well combined. Remove from heat and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and water until frothy.
- In a separate non-stick skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-low heat. Pour in the egg mixture and gently swirl to coat the bottom of the skillet.
- Cook the eggs for about 3-4 minutes until the edges begin to set. Using a spatula, gently lift the edges and allow any uncooked egg to flow underneath.
- Once the eggs are mostly set but still slightly runny on top, add the chopped spinach and shredded carrots evenly over the eggs.
- Spoon the beef mixture onto one half of the egg cloud. Carefully fold the other half over the filling to create a wrap. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the eggs are fully cooked through.
- Slide the wrap onto a plate and garnish with sliced green onions. Cut in half and serve warm.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of sriracha or chili paste to the beef mixture.
- You can also substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
- Enjoy with a side of fresh fruit for a balanced meal!
