- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound asparagus, trimmed
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté for about 30 seconds.
- Add the shrimp and asparagus to the skillet. Season with salt and black pepper.
- Cook for 5-7 minutes or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through and the asparagus is tender.
- Stir in the lemon juice and fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Serve over rice or pasta for a complete meal.
- You can substitute the shrimp with chicken if preferred.
- Feel free to add other vegetables such as bell peppers or snap peas.
