Description

A delicious and zesty grilled salmon recipe topped with herb-infused chimichurri butter.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (6-ounce) salmon fillets
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup fresh basil, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves shallots, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 1/4 cup avocado oil
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Begin by heating your grill to a medium-high setting.
  2. In a mixing bowl, blend together the basil, dill, shallots, chili flakes, 1/4 cup avocado oil, apple cider vinegar, sea salt, and white pepper. Stir until all ingredients are well incorporated and set this vibrant mixture aside.
  3. Dry the salmon fillets gently with paper towels. Coat each fillet with 1 tablespoon of avocado oil and season generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  4. Position the salmon fillets on the grill, skin-side down. Grill for approximately 6-8 minutes, then flip them over with care and continue grilling for another 4-6 minutes, or until the salmon is fully cooked and flakes apart easily when tested with a fork.
  5. During the grilling process, take another bowl and combine the softened butter with half of the herb-infused mixture, mixing thoroughly until smooth.
  6. Once the salmon is perfectly grilled, take it off the heat and allow it to rest for a few minutes. Serve the salmon topped with the herb-infused butter and the remaining herb mixture on the side for an extra burst of flavor.

Notes

  • Ensure the grill is preheated for even cooking.
  • Adjust the seasoning according to your taste preferences.
  • Let the salmon rest before serving for better flavor absorption.
