- 1 tablespoon avocado oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup fresh basil, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh dill, finely chopped
- 2 cloves shallots, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
- 1/4 cup avocado oil
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
Instructions
- Begin by heating your grill to a medium-high setting.
- In a mixing bowl, blend together the basil, dill, shallots, chili flakes, 1/4 cup avocado oil, apple cider vinegar, sea salt, and white pepper. Stir until all ingredients are well incorporated and set this vibrant mixture aside.
- Dry the salmon fillets gently with paper towels. Coat each fillet with 1 tablespoon of avocado oil and season generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- Position the salmon fillets on the grill, skin-side down. Grill for approximately 6-8 minutes, then flip them over with care and continue grilling for another 4-6 minutes, or until the salmon is fully cooked and flakes apart easily when tested with a fork.
- During the grilling process, take another bowl and combine the softened butter with half of the herb-infused mixture, mixing thoroughly until smooth.
- Once the salmon is perfectly grilled, take it off the heat and allow it to rest for a few minutes. Serve the salmon topped with the herb-infused butter and the remaining herb mixture on the side for an extra burst of flavor.
