Description
A delicious recipe for honey glazed steak strips that are easy to prepare and packed with flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound flank steak, sliced into thin strips
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, black pepper, and salt until well combined.
- Place the sliced flank steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over the steak. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
- Preheat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Remove the steak from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off.
- Cook the steak strips in the grill pan for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
- If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds over the cooked steak strips for added crunch.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the marinade.
- Serve the honey glazed steak strips over rice or in a lettuce wrap for a fresh twist.
