Description
Keto Butter Burgers (Lettuce-Wrapped) are a must-try!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 4 large lettuce leaves (such as romaine or iceberg)
- 1/2 cup sliced cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1/2 avocado, sliced
- 1/4 cup sliced pickles
- 1/4 cup diced tomatoes (optional)
- Mustard or mayonnaise (optional for serving)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into four equal patties.
- Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the skillet.
- Once the butter is melted and sizzling, add the burger patties. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip.
- After flipping, add a slice of cheese on top of each patty and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the burgers reach your desired doneness.
- Remove the burgers from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
- While the burgers are resting, melt the remaining butter in the skillet.
- Place each burger patty on a lettuce leaf, top with avocado slices, pickles, and tomatoes if using. Drizzle with mustard or mayonnaise if desired.
- Wrap the lettuce around the burger and enjoy!
Notes
- For added flavor, consider mixing in some crumbled bacon or chopped jalapeños into the beef mixture before forming the patties.
- You can substitute the lettuce wraps with keto-friendly burger buns made from almond flour or coconut flour for a different texture.
