- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, chili powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ground cumin, salt, black pepper, cocoa powder, apple cider vinegar, and soy sauce. Mix well to create a marinade.
- Add the thinly sliced beef sirloin to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef strips in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches). Sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
- Pour in the beef broth and stir to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits. Let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
