Description
A magical elixir that combines the warm spices of chai with the creaminess of almond milk, perfect for a keto-friendly treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
- 1 cup brewed chai tea (strong)
- 2 tablespoons erythritol or your preferred keto sweetener
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Pinch of salt
- Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
- Cinnamon stick (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Brew a strong cup of chai tea using your favorite chai tea bags or loose leaf tea. Set aside to cool slightly.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the unsweetened almond milk, brewed chai tea, erythritol, vanilla extract, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, nutmeg, and salt.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally until it is warm but not boiling. This should take about 5 minutes.
- Once heated, remove from heat and use an immersion blender to froth the mixture until it is well combined and slightly frothy. If you don’t have an immersion blender, you can carefully transfer the mixture to a regular blender and blend for a few seconds.
- Pour the potion into mugs and top with whipped cream if desired. Garnish with a cinnamon stick for an extra touch.
Notes
- For a creamier texture, substitute half of the almond milk with coconut cream.
- Add a splash of unsweetened vanilla extract or a few drops of almond extract for an extra layer of flavor.
