- 1/2 cup avocado oil
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional)
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
Instructions
- Heat your grill or grill pan to a high temperature.
- In a mixing bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cumin, sea salt, and black pepper.
- Generously coat the flank steak with the spice blend and drizzle with avocado oil.
- Allow the steak to marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Prepare the citrus herb sauce by whisking together avocado oil, lime juice, orange juice, chopped garlic, oregano, sea salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper in a separate bowl.
- Fold in the chopped parsley and set the sauce aside.
- Grill the flank steak for approximately 5-7 minutes on each side, adjusting for your preferred doneness.
- Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
