- 2 filet mignon steaks
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season the filet mignon with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and roast for about 5-7 minutes for medium-rare.
- In a separate pan, melt butter and stir in garlic, rosemary, and thyme.
- Once the steaks are done, drizzle the garlic herb butter over them before serving.

- Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness.
