Description

Keto Picanha Skewers with Garlic Butter: A Flavorful Delight!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 pounds picanha (top sirloin cap), cut into 1-inch chunks
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Begin by heating your grill or grill pan to a high temperature.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the picanha chunks with avocado oil, sea salt, black pepper, onion powder, and chili powder. Mix thoroughly until all the meat is well coated in the spices.
  3. Skewer the marinated picanha pieces onto metal or soaked wooden skewers, ensuring to leave a small gap between each piece for optimal cooking.
  4. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for approximately 8-10 minutes, turning them occasionally, until they achieve your preferred doneness (medium-rare is around 135°F).
  5. While the skewers are grilling, prepare the herb-infused butter. In a separate bowl, blend the softened butter with the chopped garlic, cilantro, sea salt, and black pepper until the mixture is smooth and well integrated.
  6. After grilling, take the skewers off the heat and allow them to rest for a few minutes. Generously drizzle the herb-infused butter over the skewers before serving.
  7. For an extra touch, sprinkle additional chopped cilantro on top before serving.

Notes

  • For enhanced flavor, consider marinating the picanha in the spice mixture for several hours or overnight prior to grilling.
  • You can also swap the picanha for cuts like ribeye or sirloin for a different flavor profile.
  • For added heat, incorporate a dash of cayenne pepper into the herb-infused butter.
