Instructions
- In a spacious pot, mix together the water, erythritol, saffron strands, ground cardamom, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt, ensuring the sweetener is fully dissolved.
- Bring this mixture to a light simmer over medium heat.
- Gently place the pear halves into the pot, cut side facing down, and lower the heat to maintain a gentle simmer while covering the pot.
- Allow the pears to poach for approximately 20-25 minutes, turning them halfway through to ensure they absorb the aromatic flavors evenly.
- Once they are tender yet firm, carefully lift the pears out and set them aside.
- Increase the heat to medium-high and allow the poaching liquid to simmer for an additional 5-10 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Drizzle the syrupy liquid over the pears and let them cool to room temperature before serving.
