Description
A delicious keto-friendly tart made with almond flour and spiced plums, perfect for a low-carb dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups almond flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup melted unsalted butter
- ¼ cup erythritol or your favorite keto-friendly sweetener
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 medium plums, pitted and thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
- 2 tablespoons sliced almonds
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch tart pan with butter or non-stick spray.
- In a large bowl, mix the almond flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, blend the melted butter, erythritol, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually incorporate the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, stirring until a cohesive dough is achieved.
- Evenly distribute the dough into the tart pan, pressing it firmly into the base and up the sides.
- Layer the sliced plums over the crust in a decorative circular arrangement.
- In a small bowl, combine the cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger, then sprinkle this blend generously over the plums.
- Scatter the sliced almonds on top.
- Place the tart in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is firm and the edges of the crust turn a light golden brown.
- Let it cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing into wedges to serve.
Notes
- For a sweeter experience, adjust the erythritol to ⅓ cup.
- Swap plums for other low-carb fruits like berries or peaches for different flavors.
- Consider layering some sugar-free dark chocolate chips before baking for extra crunch.
