- 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 avocado, diced
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup salsa (sugar-free)
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
- Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the beef. Stir well and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the spices are fragrant.
- In a large bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Top the salad with the seasoned ground beef, diced avocado, sour cream, and salsa.
- If desired, add sliced black olives and garnish with fresh cilantro.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your keto taco salad!
Notes
- For extra crunch, add some crushed pork rinds on top of the salad.
- Substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
