A delicious and flavorful Keto Turkish Beef Kofta served with a creamy garlic yogurt sauce, perfect for a low-carb diet.

- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 1 small onion, finely grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh mint, chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
- For the Garlic Yogurt Sauce:
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill or parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, grated onion, minced garlic, parsley, mint, cumin, coriander, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into an elongated oval or sausage shape.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the kofta and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through. Alternatively, you can grill the kofta on a preheated grill for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally.
- While the kofta cooks, prepare the garlic yogurt sauce by mixing the Greek yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and dill or parsley in a small bowl. Stir until well combined.
- Serve the kofta hot with a generous drizzle of garlic yogurt sauce on top.
Notes
- For added flavor, marinate the kofta mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before cooking.
- Serve the kofta with a side of cucumber salad or lettuce wraps for a refreshing crunch.
