Description

A delicious and quick dish featuring seared tuna coated with a flavorful Korean BBQ marinade and sesame seeds.


Ingredients

  • 2 tuna steaks
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon gochujang
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for cooking


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, gochujang, and sesame seeds.
  2. Marinate tuna steaks in the mixture for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove tuna from the marinade and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side, allowing the outside to get a nice crust.
  5. Garnish with chopped green onion before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier flavor, increase the amount of gochujang.
  • This dish pairs well with steamed rice or a fresh salad.
