Description
Kibbeh Nayeh is a traditional Lebanese dish made with raw ground beef and bulgur, flavored with spices and served with olive oil and onions.
Ingredients

- 1 cup fine bulgur
- 500 grams lean ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 lemon, juiced
Instructions
- Soak the bulgur in cold water for about 30 minutes, then drain and squeeze out excess water.
- In a large bowl, combine the bulgur, ground beef, salt, black pepper, cumin, cinnamon, onion, and mint. Mix well until everything is thoroughly combined.
- Add olive oil and lemon juice to the mixture, then mix again until everything is well coated.
- Transfer the mixture to a serving dish and shape it into a smooth, flat layer.
- Drizzle with additional olive oil and serve immediately with sliced onions and extra lemon on the side.
Notes
- Ensure that the beef is very fresh, as this dish is served raw.
- Kibbeh Nayeh is traditionally eaten with pita bread.
- Garnish with pine nuts and additional herbs if desired.
