Description
A traditional Scandinavian cured salmon dish, flavored with lemon and dill.
Ingredients

- 1 pound fresh salmon fillet
- 1/4 cup coarse sea salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
- 1 lemon, zested
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together salt, sugar, black pepper, dill, and lemon zest.
- Place half of the mixture in a shallow dish, then place the salmon on top, skin-side down.
- Spread the remaining mixture over the salmon.
- Cover with plastic wrap and place a weight on top.
- Refrigerate for 24-48 hours.
- Once cured, rinse the salmon and slice thinly to serve.
Notes
- Can be served with bagels, cream cheese, and capers.
- Make sure to use fresh, high-quality salmon.
