Description

Delicious Lobster Thermidor stuffed inside creamy avocados, perfect for a gourmet meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 avocados
  • 1 pound lobster meat, cooked and chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (Gruyere or cheddar)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the avocados in half and remove the pit. Scoop out a little of the flesh to create space for the filling.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, stir in flour, and cook for about a minute.
  4. Gradually add heavy cream and white wine, stirring until thickened.
  5. Add chopped lobster meat, Dijon mustard, and season with salt and pepper. Stir in egg yolk and shredded cheese.
  6. Stuff the avocado halves with the lobster mixture.
  7. Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Can substitute lobster with crab meat or shrimp for variations.
  • Best served immediately while warm.
