Ingredients
Scale
- 3 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced (approximately 4 cups)
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup gluten-free rolled oats
- 1/4 cup sugar substitute (like Swerve or Monk Fruit)
- 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish or baking pan with butter or cooking spray.
- In a spacious mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples with raisins, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg, tossing everything together until the apples are thoroughly coated.
- Transfer the fruity mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
- In a separate bowl, blend the almond flour, rolled oats, sugar substitute, melted butter, sea salt, and vanilla extract until you achieve a crumbly texture.
- Evenly distribute the crumbly topping over the apple mixture.
- Place the dish in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the apples are soft and the topping has turned a lovely golden brown.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and allow it to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For an extra crunch, feel free to add a handful of chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans to the crumble topping.
- Enjoy it warm with a scoop of low-carb vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for an indulgent dessert experience.
