Description

A refreshing electrolyte broth infused with miso, ginger, and lemon.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons miso paste
  • 1 inch ginger, sliced
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a pot, bring water to a boil.
  2. Add ginger slices and cook for 10 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and strain the liquid.
  4. Mix the hot liquid with miso paste until dissolved.
  5. Add lemon juice and sea salt, stirring to combine.
  6. If desired, stir in honey or maple syrup.
  7. Serve warm or chilled.

Notes

  • This broth can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Adjust the saltiness by adding more or less sea salt to taste.
