- 2 pounds chicken, cut into pieces
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 lemons, juiced
- 1/4 teaspoon saffron threads
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, grated
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, saffron, garlic, onion, salt, pepper, and turmeric. Mix well.
- Add chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- Skewer the marinated chicken onto the grill skewers.
- Grill the chicken for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through and slightly charred.
- Serve hot with rice and grilled vegetables.
