- 2 large broccoli stems, peeled and cut into fry-shaped pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh lemon juice, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the broccoli stem pieces with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Toss until the stems are evenly coated.
- Spread the broccoli stems in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fries are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle with fresh lemon juice before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, try sprinkling some grated Parmesan cheese on the fries during the last 5 minutes of roasting.
- If you prefer a spicier kick, toss the fries with a bit of cayenne pepper or your favorite hot sauce before roasting.
