- 2 large turnips, peeled and sliced into sticks (approximately 2 cups)
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- For the Zesty Dipping Sauce:
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce (adjust according to your spice preference)
- 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
- 1 clove garlic, finely minced
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the turnip sticks with olive oil, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together until the turnips are well-coated in the seasoning.
- Arrange the turnip sticks in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, turning them halfway through the cooking time, until they are beautifully golden and crispy.
- While the turnips are roasting, make the zesty dipping sauce. In a separate bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, hot sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Once the turnip sticks are finished baking, take them out of the oven and allow them to cool slightly. Serve them warm alongside the zesty dipping sauce for a delightful snack.
Notes
- For an extra kick, consider adding a dash of cayenne pepper to the turnip sticks before baking.
- If you want a milder sauce, reduce the amount of hot sauce in the dipping sauce.
