Description

A delicious keto dessert featuring pecans, caramel, and chocolate.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1 cup sugar-free chocolate chips
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar substitute
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Spread pecan halves on the baking sheet and toast in the oven for 5-7 minutes.
  3. In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, butter, sugar substitute, and salt. Heat over medium until melted and combined.
  4. Simmer the mixture for 10-15 minutes until it thickens.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract and remove from heat.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the pecan mixture onto parchment paper.
  7. Pour the caramel mixture over each mound and let cool.
  8. Melt chocolate chips and drizzle over the cooled turtles.
  9. Allow to set before serving.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • Can substitute other nuts if desired.
  • Optional: sprinkle with sea salt before the chocolate sets.
