Description

A delicious casserole featuring savory mushrooms and crispy bacon, perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cups bread cubes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, sauté the mushrooms until tender.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the bacon, bread cubes, sautéed mushrooms, and cheese.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the bread mixture and stir to combine.
  6. Transfer to a greased baking dish.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until set and golden brown.
