Ingredients

  • 2 bunches of radishes (about 1 pound), trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice


Instructions

  1. Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and let it heat for about 1 minute.
  2. In a bowl, toss the halved radishes with salt and black pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Place the radish halves cut-side down in the skillet. Sear for about 5-7 minutes without moving them, until they develop a golden-brown crust.
  4. Flip the radishes and cook for another 5-7 minutes, until they are tender and golden on both sides. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to low and add the butter. Once melted, stir in the parsley, chives, garlic, and lemon juice. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  6. Drizzle the herb butter over the seared radish steaks and serve warm.

  • For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the herb butter.
