A delicious and healthy recipe for Seared Keto Radish Steaks with Herb Butter, perfect for a low-carb diet.

- 2 bunches of radishes (about 1 pound), trimmed and halved
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and let it heat for about 1 minute.
- In a bowl, toss the halved radishes with salt and black pepper until evenly coated.
- Place the radish halves cut-side down in the skillet. Sear for about 5-7 minutes without moving them, until they develop a golden-brown crust.
- Flip the radishes and cook for another 5-7 minutes, until they are tender and golden on both sides. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to low and add the butter. Once melted, stir in the parsley, chives, garlic, and lemon juice. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Drizzle the herb butter over the seared radish steaks and serve warm.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the herb butter.
- Try substituting the radishes with turnips for a different flavor profile while keeping it keto-friendly.
