Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 4 cups fresh spinach, washed and dried
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and sauté for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and have released their moisture.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1 minute, stirring frequently to prevent burning.

- If desired, drizzle the balsamic vinegar over the mixture and stir to combine. Cook for another minute.

Notes
- For added flavor, consider incorporating a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
- You can substitute kale or Swiss chard for spinach for a different taste and texture.
