Description
Swedish Gravad Lax is a traditional Nordic dish made with salmon, sugar, and salt, typically served with a mustard sauce and crispbread.
Ingredients

- 1 kg fresh salmon fillet
- 50 g coarse sea salt
- 50 g sugar
- 1 teaspoon white pepper
- 1 bunch fresh dill
Instructions
- Mix the salt, sugar, and white pepper together in a bowl.
- Sprinkle half of the mixture in a dish large enough to fit the salmon.
- Place the salmon skin-side down on the spice mixture.
- Cover the salmon with the remaining mixture and the fresh dill.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 48 hours, turning the salmon every 12 hours.
- After curing, rinse the salmon under cold water and pat dry.
- Slice thinly and serve with mustard sauce and crispbread.

- Ensure the salmon is as fresh as possible for the best flavor.
