Description

A flavorful Taiwanese dish made with chicken, soy sauce, sesame oil, and basil.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup rice wine
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, sliced
  • 2 red chili peppers, sliced


Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic, ginger, and chilies, sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add chicken and sauté until browned.
  4. Pour in soy sauce and rice wine, then add sugar.
  5. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Stir in basil leaves just before serving.
