Description

A flavorful and healthy dish featuring ground duck, herbs, and spices served in crisp lettuce cups.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground duck
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon toasted rice powder
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup shallots, finely sliced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 cup mint leaves, chopped
  • 1 head iceberg lettuce, separated into leaves
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • 1 red chili, sliced (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the ground duck over medium heat until browned.
  2. Stir in the fish sauce, lime juice, toasted rice powder, and brown sugar. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and mix in shallots, cilantro, and mint.
  4. To serve, spoon the duck mixture into lettuce leaves.
  5. Garnish with cucumber and chili slices if desired.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, substitute the duck with mushrooms.
  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or fewer chilies.
