Description

A delicious and spooky dessert perfect for Halloween or any ghoulish gathering.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup almond milk (or any milk of choice)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)


Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a blender or food processor.
  2. Add the cocoa powder, maple syrup, almond milk, vanilla extract, sea salt, and cinnamon (if using) to the blender.
  3. Blend on high until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness if desired by adding more maple syrup.
  5. Once fully blended, transfer the mousse into serving bowls or cups.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the mousse to firm up.
  7. Serve chilled, optionally garnished with fresh berries or a dollop of whipped cream.

Notes

  • For a minty twist, add 1/2 teaspoon of peppermint extract to the blender.
  • To make it extra decadent, fold in some mini chocolate chips before chilling.
