Description

A simple yet classic Italian dish featuring egg noodles tossed in a buttery cheese sauce with a delightful peppery kick.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 1/2 cup grated Pecorino Romano cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • Salt to taste


Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to coat with butter.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the Pecorino Romano and Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  5. Add black pepper and salt to taste; mix well.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with extra cheese and pepper if desired.

  • For a creamier sauce, add a little pasta water when mixing in the cheese.
