- 1 large head of cauliflower
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F.
- Remove the leaves from the cauliflower and trim the stem, keeping it intact. Place the cauliflower stem-side down on a cutting board.
- Using a sharp knife, slice the cauliflower into 3/4-inch thick ‘steaks.’
- In a small bowl, mix together the Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt.
- Brush both sides of the cauliflower steaks with olive oil and then sprinkle the cheese mixture generously on top of each steak.
- Place the coated steaks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the steaks are golden brown and tender.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, drizzle a little lemon juice over the steaks before garnishing with parsley.
- Try adding different herbs, like thyme or oregano, to the cheese mixture for a unique twist.
