Description
A deliciously creamy and sweet sago pudding dessert inspired by Thai flavors.
Ingredients

- 1 cup sago pearls
- 2 cups coconut milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup pandan leaves (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the sago pearls under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Bring the water to a boil in a pot, then add the sago pearls.
- Cook the sago, stirring occasionally, for about 15-20 minutes or until they become translucent.
- Drain the cooked sago and rinse with cold water.
- In a separate saucepan, combine the coconut milk, sugar, and salt. Heat until the sugar dissolves.
- Add the cooked sago to the coconut milk mixture and stir well.
- If using pandan leaves, tie them in a knot and add to the mixture for flavor.
- Simmer for another 5 minutes on low heat.
- Remove from heat, let it cool, and serve chilled.
Notes
- For added flavor, soak the sago pearls in coconut milk for an hour before cooking.
- This dessert can be topped with fresh fruits or served with additional coconut milk.
