- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 ounces cream cheese
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup coconut flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 cup pepperoni slices
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce (sugar-free)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine mozzarella and cream cheese. Microwave until melted and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, combine almond flour, coconut flour, eggs, baking powder, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Mix until combined.
- Add the cheese mixture to the flour mixture and knead until a dough forms.
- Divide the dough in half and roll out each half into a circle.
- Place pepperoni and a spoonful of marinara sauce on one half of each circle.
- Fold the dough over to cover the filling and seal the edges.
- Place the calzones on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, replace pepperoni with vegetables like spinach or mushrooms.
- Calzones can be made ahead of time and frozen.
