Description

A delicious low-carb nutmeg custard tart perfect for keto diets.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup erythritol
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, melted butter, erythritol, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture into a tart pan to form the crust.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, vanilla extract, ground nutmeg, and almond milk.
  5. Pour the custard mixture into the tart crust.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the custard is set.
  7. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • Chill the tart in the refrigerator for a couple of hours for better texture.
  • Use fresh nutmeg for a more intense flavor.
